A brow fixer holds the brows in the shape you set. This section has three types: wax, soap and gel, and each handles its own task.
Which brow fixer to choose: wax, soap or gel
Wax and soap suit cases when the hairs need to be brushed upward or in one direction. Gel is chosen to set the shape, add tint to the brows or manage coarse hairs. So there is no single best fixer: the artist looks at the client's needs.
Brow wax: how to use
Pick up a small amount of wax on an applicator or brush, spread it over the brow with light strokes and shape the hairs with the brush. After fixing, the brows can be defined with a pencil or shadow. Pack sizes vary, for example brow fixing wax, 30 g.
If you need wax for removing hairs, it is in the section Depilation wax.
Brow soap: how to use
Bend the brush slightly, pick up the soap with smooth strokes and comb the hairs in the direction you need. If the soap does not pick up well, press on the brush a little. According to the manufacturer's instructions, a dry brush gives a natural look, while a damp one is for long-lasting styling, as with brow fixing soap, 5 g.
Brow gel: clear or tinted
Clear gel only sets the shape, so it suits brows of any colour. Tinted gel also colours the hairs: the catalogue has shades from light brown to black, as well as grey. For coarse, unruly hairs there is a gel with keratin.
Spread the gel with a brush, comb the brows and let them dry. If the brows are tinted with a pencil or shadow, do it before the gel so the pigment is not wiped off. Clear gels come in classic and extra-strong hold, for example clear gel, classic hold, 11 ml.
How to remove brow wax and soap
Wax and soap are removed with a cleanser at the end of the day: the wax manufacturer advises this so as not to irritate the skin. The method for each product is given on its page.
