Brow waxing takes two steps besides the wax itself: preparing the skin and calming it afterwards. The category has gels and lotions for before, talc, and oils, lotions, a mask and a serum for after.
Before the treatment: gel, lotion and talc
Before the wax goes on, the skin is cleansed and degreased with a gel or lotion — the category has ItalWax Pre Wax Gel, the Sculptor lotion and the Elan refreshing lotion used before brow waxing. Talc goes on thinly over it: it absorbs moisture so the wax grips the hairs rather than the skin. The depilatory wax itself is chosen by format and area.
After the treatment: lift the wax and calm the skin
Wax residue is taken off the skin with an oil — menthol or neutral; a lotion or gel will not do it. Azulene and orange lotions calm the skin, and the growth-slowing emulsion is the only product here that claims that effect. For brows, Elan has a separate mask and a repair serum used after waxing. Spatulas and strips are in the depilation consumables section.
