SMART STEP is a professional hydro-booster designed to activate lamination and prepare the hairs and skin for the procedure. The product changes the readiness of the hairs for chemical treatment and improves their condition right from the start of the procedure.
The main function of the SMART STEP activator is to deeply moisturize, activate and stabilize the hair structure so that the following products work faster, more gently and as evenly as possible.
It is the first innovative prep step before brow lamination or brow lightening.

Thanks to the moisturizing matrix and Zinc PCA, makeup looks cleaner and lasts longer, without stickiness, heaviness or a silicone film effect.

How does SMART STEP work?
SMART STEP is not a surface moisturizer; it works at the level of the inner hair structure:
- Glycols, sugars and hyaluronate actively attract water and carry it inside the hairs;
- Algin, pullulan and a polymer matrix (Patch-20) retain moisture during the procedure;
- Amino acids and Zinc PCA stabilize the hairs before chemical treatment and improve their ability to retain moisture.
As a result, the hairs:
- become soft and elastic;
- are no longer dry and "closed";
- absorb active ingredients better;
- react to lamination and lightening products more predictably.
How does SMART STEP affect the lamination procedure?
SMART STEP prepares the hairs before using STEP 1 LIFT.
After SMART STEP, STEP 1 LIFT works not with dry, dense hairs but with a moisturized and activated structure.
This allows you to:
- shorten the processing time of step No. 1;
- reduce the harshness of the chemical treatment;
- avoid over-drying and stiffness;
- get a consistent result regardless of the client's hair type.
Directions
During brow and lash lamination or lightening
SMART STEP is ideal for preparing dry, coarse, dense or damaged hairs before lamination or lightening.
- Cleanse lashes or brows with the 3-in-1 OKO Shampoo Cloudy Foam.
- Apply SMART STEP to dry, cleansed hairs.
- Processing time: from 30 seconds to 1-2 minutes (depending on the degree of dryness and damage).
- Remove excess product with a dry cotton pad or cotton swab.
- Continue the lamination or lightening procedure.
Home care
SMART STEP can be used for intense hydration between procedures as home care for lashes and brows.
- Apply a small amount of SMART STEP and leave until fully absorbed.
- If needed, finish with a setting or nourishing product.
As a makeup base
SMART STEP can be used as a new-generation intensely moisturizing primer for the skin before makeup.
- Apply a thin layer of SMART STEP to cleansed skin.
- Leave for 30-60 seconds to absorb.
- Apply your makeup.
