After an Élan lash lift, brow lamination or tint, the product depends on the situation: what to seal the treatment with right in the salon, and what to recommend to the client for aftercare at home.
What to Apply at the End of an Élan Treatment: A Cheat Sheet for the Artist
In the Élan line, the product choice depends on which treatment you just finished.
| Situation | What to Seal It With in the Salon | What to Recommend to the Client at Home |
|---|---|---|
| Lash lift | LashPLEX 2.0 | LashPLEX 2.0 daily, 1–2 months, or LashBOOST as a course |
| Brow lamination | AMINO as the final step, while Skin Protector 2.0 protects the skin around the brows during the treatment itself | Skin Protector 2.0, GLOW DAILY or GOGO Brows |
| Brow and lash tinting | COLOUR FIX 2.0 | the same product, COLOUR FIX 2.0, daily |
| Bleaching or several treatments in a row | Lipidic 2.0 or BTX-Brow Mask | depends on the situation: see the sections above |
Lash Lift Aftercare
LashPLEX 2.0 seals the lash lift right in the salon and continues the work at home.
- in the salon: a few drops applied with a pipette to the lashes, from the inner to the outer corner of the eye, until fully absorbed, no need to rinse off;
- at home: the same concentrate, daily, as a 1–2 month course.
If the client wants a separate course just for the lashes, you can offer LashBOOST, a 4.5 ml bottle: according to the brand, the serum stimulates lash growth after 3 weeks of regular use.
- apply with the applicator along the lash line, morning or evening, on skin cleansed of makeup;
- course: at least 3 weeks, no need to rinse the serum off.
Brow Care After Lamination
AMINO seals brow lamination as the final step: the artist applies the product with a brush right after the treatment, combing the hairs in the right direction. At home, the same concentrate also works as a standalone product, including on lash extensions.
For home aftercare following Élan lamination, you can offer the client one of three options depending on the goal: hold, hydration or a brow course.
- Skin Protector 2.0: an argan oil cream for daily hydration, applied with a brush until fully absorbed;
- GLOW DAILY: for light daily hold on the direction of the hairs, applied with a brush;
- GOGO Brows, a 4.5 ml bottle, or single-dose vials of 1 ml, as a course of at least 2–3 weeks; according to the brand, it supports brow growth.
Brow and Lash Tinting Aftercare
COLOUR FIX 2.0 locks in the color right after tinting and in the ongoing home aftercare. The same fluid works in the salon and at home.
- in the salon: at the final step of tinting, with a cotton pad, in the direction of hair growth;
- at home: the same way, daily, no need to rinse off;
- Skin Protector 2.0 additionally protects the skin around the brows and eyelid during the tinting itself.
The full range of tinting products is covered in the article "Élan Brow and Lash Tinting: The Complete Line Guide", and the difference between tinting types is covered in the article "Oxidative, Direct Tinting, and Toning for Élan Brows: What's the Difference".
Brow Bleaching or Several Treatments in a Row: Aftercare
Lipidic 2.0 and BTX-Brow Mask restore the hairs after several chemical treatments in a row: tinting, lamination, bleaching.
- Lipidic 2.0, 10 ampoules of 1.5 ml: the contents of one ampoule on the brows and lashes, with a brush, do not rinse off;
- BTX-Brow Mask, 10 ml: a thin layer on the brows for 10 minutes, remove with a damp cotton pad.
The steps of the bleaching treatment itself and where these products fit in the protocol are covered in the article "Élan Brow Bleaching".
The First 24 and 48 Hours After Lamination: What to Tell the Client
Here is a ready-made reminder for the client right after an Élan lamination: you can forward it as a message. Élan gives these recommendations for the KeraVEG and Supersonic 2.0 systems, for both lashes and brows.
The first 24 hours after the treatment:
- no sauna, steam room or sunbed;
- do not sleep face-down on the pillow;
- do not brush or comb the brows and lashes.
The first 48 hours after the treatment:
- no scrubs or peels;
- no alcohol-based lotions;
- no laser treatments in the brow and lash area.
The full treatment protocol and how to choose a lamination system are covered in the article "Élan Lash and Brow Lamination: Systems, Kits and How to Choose". If a client plans both lamination and tinting, what to do first and how long to wait are covered in the article "Tinting Brows and Lashes After Élan Lamination: What Comes First, How Long to Wait and What to Use".
